18.01.2010 – Climate protection can be enjoyable! |

The height of seventy-eight large shipping containers stacked skywards is simply astounding. This is exactly how much CO2 one bus saves per year in Hamburg/Germany thanks to the optimized engine control unit ECOMAX. A miniature model was used to present this amazing fact to members of the press and media in Hamburg. And 18 full-sized barrels positioned next to a rigid bus of the VHH PVG Unternehmensgruppe demonstrated just how much diesel the bus saves during the same period. The environment and the financial officers of public transportation companies have every reason to be happy. We wish to thank representatives from the press, politicians and partners companies for making this a successful event! 22.02.2010 - More than 3 million kilometres without problems |
|
ECOMAX test buses celebrate unique achievement: Retrofitted urban buses in Germany have so far travelled more than 3,000,000 km. And, as with the HGVs, there were no signs of problems, breakdowns or even damage to the vehicles. Neither repair workshops nor passengers reported any peculiarities. However, some drivers were surprised to find certain buses suddenly “more efficient” and “easier to drive”. Numerous testing bay inspections and technical measurements during normal service show that the individual engine control unit ECOMAX lives up to all the expectations. We wish to take this opportunity to thank all the project partners for their courage and to wish them continued safe and efficient driving in the future! |

14.01.2010 - ECOMAX presents itself to the public |

After more than a year of intensive developments in cooperation with numerous partners, the project was finally unveiled at a press conference in Hamburg on 14 January 2010. Privy Counsellor Dr Hugo Winters, a member of the executive committee of the VHH PVG-Unternehmensgruppe, and the managers of Economymax GmbH used models and vehicles to demonstrate the project to invited journalists.
